We’re Jacob and Dena Nordman — proud owners of Life Outside Landscape & Excavation, a company serving Reno NV.

Jacob grew up in a small Oregon town, while Dena is a Nevada native. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the landscaping industry, building this business has been a long-standing dream — and today, it’s our reality.

After more than a decade working for another company, life handed us a turning point: Jacob was unexpectedly let go. That moment sparked a decision we had been putting off — to start something of our own. Within a week, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work.

From the beginning, our goal has been to build more than beautiful landscapes. We set out to build a reputation rooted in trust, craftsmanship, and purpose — and to add value to every life we work with.
